There are five U.S. border crossings within an hour’s drive of Chatham-Kent. Major vehicular crossings at the Tunnel and Ambassador Bridge to the east in Windsor or Bluewater Bridge to the north in Sarnia.

In addition, two ferry services departing from Walpole Island and the Village of Sombra.

Highway 401 cuts through the middle of Chatham with easy access to all communities through six different exits.

Easy access to the area for VIA rail passengers with a station located in the City of Chatham.

Boaters can travel to Chatham-Kent across Lake Erie with marina facilities in Erieau. Travel east on the Heritage Thames River with docking facilities in downtown Chatham.

Travel north or south on Lake St. Clair to marina facilities in Lighthouse Cove and Mitchell’s Bay. Travel on the Sydenham River with docking facilities in downtown Wallaceburg.
