Some of North America’s best automotive-themed festivals and tourist attractions are found here in Chatham-Kent, Canada’s Classic Car Capital.
RM Classic Car Exhibit
Chatham-Kent is home to the RM Classic Car Exhibit, a world-class display of more than 60 rare and valuable vehicles. A guided tour brings visitors up close to one of the world’s finest collections. RM, a global leader in classic car restorations and auctions, is headquartered here. Other award-winning independent restoration specialists also call Chatham-Kent home.
Gray Dort
A Chatham-manufactured Gray Dort is on display at Chatham-Kent Museum showcasing the region’s ties to the automotive industry in Canada. This 1919 touring model is one of the last few in existence.
Classic Car Festivals
Chatham-Kent’s automotive festivals are rated some of the best in Ontario and Canada. Retrofest is a celebration of nostalgia in downtown Chatham that draws thousands. WAMBO, Canada’s largest and foremost antique transportation show features more than 500 displays of cars, fire trucks, boats, motorcycles and airplanes.
