Acorn Dinner Theatre

The Acorn Dinner Theatre has been providing quality entertainment for over fourteen years.

We produce hilarious comedies written by leading playwrights from Canada, the UK and the United States as well as producing original scripts of our own.

Whether we are debuting something available only at the Acorn Theatre or staging an old favourite our unique blend of comedy, romance and outrageous farce always has something for everyone.

The success of our company has always been based on generating lots of laughs and the Acorn's large cast of professional actors delivers again and again.

Capitol Theatre

The Chatham Capitol Theatre is a 1214-seat entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Chatham, Ontario. The theatre first opened as a movie house in 1930 and has recently undergone a reconstruction to become a first-rate destination for live entertainment.

The Capitol features a deluxe new balcony with 455 seats in addition to 759 seats on the orchestra level. The 65-foot fly tower and state-of-the-art rigging allows for larger scale and more technically advanced productions. The orchestra pit is designed for the optimal acoustic experience and can be raised to floor or stage level as desired. A full list of technical specifications will be listed here soon.

The theatre features art deco detailing throughout with gilded décor, opera boxes, an ornate ceiling, and much more. It is equipped with three lounges, an elevator, and is fully accessible.

Kiwanis Theatre

The Kiwanis Theatre has a proscenium (picture frame) stage with an extended apron in front. Seating capacity is 679 plus the wheelchair section, and is reduced when seats are removed to accommodate an orchestra, bad sight lines, or a soundboard.

The seating is termed “continental”, meaning the audience enters from the sides and there is no centre aisle.

The Box Office is located at the administration office. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The temporary Box Office, which is utilized prior to a performance, is in the Theatre Lobby. The temporary Box Office normally opens 60 minutes prior to the performance.
