Ministry of Economic Development and Trade
The goal of the Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation is to grow the economy for the benefit of all Ontarians. To accomplish that they encourage and support businesses of all sizes, and help them innovate and compete in today’s fast-changing global economy. The CKSBC is part of the Small and Medium Enterprises Division, which helps new and existing small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) to grow and prosper. More than 99% of all businesses in Ontario are SMEs, which employ nearly 2.9 million Ontarians.
Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services
The Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services team works to promote Chatham-Kent as a location for business, industry and tourism destinations and to strengthen local economies and business infrastructure. Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services is comprised of six functional areas: Business Attraction Services, Business Retention and Expansion Services, Small Business Services, Agricultural Services, Service/Commercial Services and Tourism Services.
