Wills and Estates

You write a will to tell your family what to do with your belongings (estate) after you die.
If you do not have a will, the Succession Law Reform Act will guide the allocation of your estate.
Trustee
A trustee is the person you choose to carry out the wishes you have set out in your will.
Preparing a Will
You should hire a lawyer to help you write your will. If you cannot hire a lawyer, try a pre-written will kit. Preparing a will is not easy, so read information and resources before writing it.
