An emergency is an unpredicted situation that is life-threatening to you or a citizen. If you have an emergency or witnessed an accident or crime, call 911. |

By calling 911, you can access the services of the police, the fire department and the ambulance. This is a free service that can be activated from any phone, whether it is a landline, mobile phone or pay phone (public phone).
Settlement.Org has a resource to help you understand how to use the 9-1-1 services. Multi-language translation services are available through 9-1-1 in more than 140 languages. Ask for services in your language if needed.
