Seniors' Programs and Resources

Our community offers seniors a range of community services, providers and seniors' centres.

You can join one of many programs and make friends while taking part in fun activities.

Are you looking to join in a card group or go to a social outing? Use the Chatham-Kent Business and Service Directory to help in doing so. Select the “Community Groups” directory; choose your sub-directory and choice of community.

If you want to live on your own, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) has senior programs to help you:

• Home Adaptations for Seniors' Independence (HASI)

• Emergency Repair Program (ERP)

• Homeowner Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program — Homeowner RRAP

If you live in a Retirement or Long-Term Care Home, you can contact the Retirement Home Complaints Response and Information Service at 1.800.361.7254 if you need help. The service is free of charge.
