The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance provides a quality health care service from two hospital locations in Chatham-Kent. Both campuses offer state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, excellent service, and top-flight operational performance.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) was formed in 1998 and is comprised of 1350 staff, 125 physicians and 550 volunteers. Together, they provide patient and family-centred care to tens of thousands of inpatients, out patients, and emergency patients annually. Their core clinical programs include:

  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Emergency & Community Health
  • Medicine Program
  • Mental Health & Addictions
  • Rehabilitation/Complex Continuing Care
  • Surgical Program
  • Women & Children’s Health

CKHA has two campuses, one in Chatham and the other in Wallaceburg. If you have a medical emergency, you may go directly to one of these hospitals, with your OHIP card and photo ID (examples: a driver’s license or permanent resident card). In Chatham-Kent, you may also dial 9-1-1 for emergency service and assistance. 9-1-1 service is free of charge, although you may be charged a fee for transportation by ambulance.

CKHA was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in 2009 and 2010, and continues to be a quality health care workplace. Click here for information about joining the CKHA team.
