Mission: To improve lives and build community in Chatham-Kent

The United Way of Chatham-Kent is a family of organizations which raises funds in one campaign each year to support a wide range of programs and services for the community. It is part of the larger national organization, which represents over 100 United Ways across Canada.

The services and activities the United Way provides include recruitment and co-ordination of volunteers, raising public awareness towards issues affecting those in need, and providing grants for community initiatives.

Among the programs, charitable organizations and community groups supported by the United Way are:

• Big Brothers/Big Sisters

• Canadian Red Cross Society

• Chatham-Kent Family YMCA

• Learning Disabilities Association of Chatham-Kent

• Women’s Leadership Council

There are also many annual events and celebrations, such as:

• Blenheim Golf Tournament

• Chatham-Kent Amazing Race

• Red Feather Weekend

• Sydenham Challenge Dragonboat Festival
