Chatham-Kent offers residents many opportunities to enjoy special events such as the Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO), Retrofest and Canada D'eh! Visit the Event and Tour Guide to learn more about our community’s activities and family outings.

Birding

Birding is a popular recreational activity where people with binoculars can use observation towers or hike to view a remarkable variety of birds. With a fabulous warm climate, Chatham-Kent attracts many rare species of birds, making our community one of the best places to bird watch in North America. Hunting

If you enjoy recreational hunting, Chatham-Kent has plenty of protected natural areas where you can hunt ducks, geese and other species. A license is required to hunt in Chatham-Kent and one can be purchased at following locations.

Ghost Walks

There are ghost stories to be told, and Chatham-Kent is your home to popular tours where you can become acquainted with ghostly spirits. During the first three weekends in October, walking and bus tours take place in Chatham-Kent. As you participate in these group tours, you will be enlightened by ghost experts who are dressed in costume and tell true stories of the ghosts of Chatham-Kent’s past. Parks Blueberries

Do you love fresh fruit? Wouldn’t you love to pick your own blueberries? Parks Blueberries, located on Highway #2 near Bothwell, is your one-stop shop for blueberries as well as a wide variety of items. With their pick-your-own blueberry operation, along with a bountiful country store, Parks Blueberries offers a wide variety of items, including home-made blueberry jam, salsa, and kitchen utensils along with a wide variety of appealing items.

Greenview Aviaries

In Chatham-Kent, there is a wonderful zoo, where a beautiful landscape combined with attractive domestic and exotic animals brings a unique experience for you and your family. Greenview Aviaries, located in Ridgetown, is great for people of all ages with a playground, picnic area and restaurant.

The Corn Maze

A true treasure of Chatham-Kent, the Corn Maze is a perfect outing for you and your friends and family - careful, don't get lost!
