St. Clair College of Applied Arts & Technology-Thames Campus

The Chatham community is home to Thames Campus, the major delivery site for St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. From its Grand Avenue West campus and other satellite locations throughout the Municipality, St. Clair College seeks to meet the educational needs of students and the training needs of business and industry. A range of post-secondary, post-diploma, continuous learning and contract training programs and services are available in the areas of technology and trades, health, community services, adult education, applied arts, and business.

Customized training for business and industry and consulting in human resource development is also available. The Campus offers assistance with educational and career planning and is engaged in a number of college preparation activities, Campus for Kids and Thames Institute of the Arts initiatives.

St. Clair College also operates the James A. Burgess Skills Centre in Wallaceburg. The College is offering apprenticeship training in Industrial Millwright and dual credits for high school students under the School/College/Work initiative. E-learning is also operational in the centre, providing support for individuals to continue their education in university, college and high school courses.

In 2009, the enrolment at the Thames Campus of St. Clair College included 1,300 full-time students and 3,500 Continuing Education/Adult Training students.

In the fall of 2009, St. Clair College established a student residence in Chatham.

University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus

University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus is located in Ridgetown, ON. The campus delivers education, research and extension focused on agriculture and environmental management. The campus has 600 full-time students enrolled in degree, diploma or certificate programs and over 6,000 alumni.

University of Windsor

The University of Windsor offers a very broad range of programs – its 16,000 full and part-time students are enrolled in some 150 bachelor, masters and doctoral degree programs.

There are nine co-operative education programs for 1,100 students in Business Administration, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Biology, Kinesiology, Operational Research, and Physics and High Technology.

Community and business partnerships have helped to establish research institutions at the University of Windsor that are unmatched in Canada.
