St. Clair College
Chatham-Kent is home to St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, Thames Campus who seeks to meet the educational needs of students and the training needs of business and industry. A range of post-secondary, post-diploma, apprenticeships, continuous learning and contract training programs and services are available in the areas of technology and trades, health, community services, adult education, applied arts, and business. In 2009, the enrolment at the Thames Campus of St. Clair College included 1,000 post-secondary students and 4,500 continuing education/adult education students.
University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus
University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus a centre of expertise and information for the agricultural community and agri-based industries is also located in Chatham-Kent. Ridgetown Campus offers two-year diploma programs in agriculture, horticulture, veterinary technology and environmental management as well as a certificate program in veterinary office administration. The first two years of Guelph’s Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management are also offered in Ridgetown.
Training Courses & Adult Learning
Chatham-Kent also offers a wide range of training courses provided by Adult Language and Learning, Academy of Learning and a number of other private training companies.
